The air in Davos remains cold and dry for many months of the year, even in summer, due to its location in the high mountains surrounded by mountain ranges of over 3000 m above sea level and is low in pathogens. Bacterial respiratory infections are rare. Patients with chronic germ colonization of the airways and lungs benefit from this phenomenon. |
